About us

The mission of the Marketing Department is to create an academic center of excellence focusing on the creation and dissemination of knowledge in the crucial field of marketing. The center should provide intellectual leadership in academic research and stimulate open discussion of basic research questions without adherence to a single, dominating research paradigm. Dissemination of the acquired knowledge should take the form of on-campus and off-campus teaching to the academic and business community worldwide.

Current Focus

The focus of the Marketing Department is on academic quality and excellence in every endeavor it undertakes. Nevertheless, the department has identified a few priority areas in which it intends to excel. On the research side, focus will center broadly on pertinent questions in consumer information processing, consumer decision making, and quantitative modeling.

Teaching Programs

The Marketing Department offers programs at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. At the undergraduate level, Marketing is one of the most popular disciplines. We offer basis marketing core courses and advanced electives in the areas of consumer behavior, communication, marketing research, marketing strategy, international dimensions of marketing, and pricing. Marketing is also very popular in the MBA program, with the marketing faculty receiving one of the highest teaching ratings in the School, indicating both quality and relevance.
